HandyDAD WNC was started in Henderson County, North Carolina. The founder is a veteran writer and search optimization nerd, but now prefers to work with is hands and his butt off a chair. Not only can he write a great lead and develop killer content, but has he worked as a professional handyman for rental complexes when the writing gigs ran dry.
After being displaced by Hurricane Helene, chainsaw work became a daily activity. We specialize in helping clear their land of debris and fixing fence and deck work damaged during the storm.
About HandyDAD experience
The founder has also owned five homes in multiple states, in locations ranging from hot as hell to multiple feet of snow for many months. So, facing various weather effects and geographic conditions has given us a great take on all types of house maintenance and repair issues, inside and out.
Now, in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, where people have a decks for back yards, HandyDAD is working wood with tailored sanding and staining options, including an annual maintenance plan.

What are your rates?
HandyDAD honey-do project rates for light fixtures and ladder work is $50 per hour, minimum two hours. For hard-labor projects including fence, deck and landscaping, the rate is $75 per hour, minimum two hours.
How many people on the team?
Most handyman projects on the honey-do list are handled by one person. For larger projects or those out of range, HandyDAD subcontracts to his son and other responsible, knowledgable college students and contractors. But, Bart is always the team leader, no matter the task or location.
How far out is your schedule?
Contact HandyDAD WNC to find out specifics about availability. Different types of outside projects need the right weather to get the best outcome.
Easy peasy pay
HandyDAD is a registered business in licensed, registered and insured in Buncombe, Henderson and Haywood Counties for indoor and outdoor projects. We accept all major credit cards as well as Zelle transfers. We charge applicable rates for taxes and offer a discount for cash and barter transactions. Ask your handyman for details!
